Mother's

With Mother's Day coming up I have been trying to think of something to do for my mom and haven't thought of anything or found anything that really felt right to me. I am grateful for my mom in my life and all that she does for her kids. She watches several of her grandkids on a daily basis and they don't know how very lucky they are to have that time with her. My parents and I live in the same state but 45 minutes away I know that they would be there for me when I need them but I see how some of my silblings need them and don't want to burden them with anything so I try to do everything myself. Thinking about Mother's Day just made me realize how lucky I am to have my mom in my life where there are some that do not. I am grateful for her strength and for the amazing things she does for those around her. My mom has many gifts and talents some I don't even think she is aware of. Along with my mom there are some other mother's that I have grown to admire and they have given me strength and have guided me in ways I don't think that they are aware of. I am not sure why I am posting this on my blog but felt that this is something that I wanted to share with those that I love. One of the other special women in my life is my amazing sister Tiffany! As I write this tears stream down my face because of the love I have my sister she is the strongest person I know! Yes is my younger sister but she is wise beyond her years and has helped me through things without her even knowing. Tiffany has overcome so many obstacles in her life things that if I had to go through I can't say that I would of handled them at all. Tiffany now has to amazing children through the miracle of adoption and these two kiddos are the luckiest children in the world to be blessed with Tiffany and Joe as their parents!!
She is a wonderful example to me and she is someone I strive to be like. She has patience that I wish I had and is very talented and gifted as well. The next person is my youngest sister Niki I wanted to put in here how very pround I am of her and what challenges she has overcome. She made choices that seemed very hard at the time but has made the best choice in her life and that is to be the best mom she can be to Ethan! He is her life and what he doesn't know is that he saved her life! I am very happy to have a relationship with her.
Each of these women mean the world to me and have been such wonderful examples to me that I felt impressed to share my feelings to each of them. I also wanted to share to women that are members of the church and I have been visitors to their blogs for the last couple years. These two women have been through some very tough experiences but whenever I come away from reading their blogs I am a stronger person and I am inspired by their strength. When I am feeling down about something I just think of what these women have gone through and remind myself I have not experienced anything close to what they have and I need to buck up and be strong. The first woman is Ashley from the Sullenger Family http://patrickandashley.blogspot.com/this the link to their blog and the second woman is Stephanie from www.nieniedialogues.com I have been brought to tears several times reading their words. I am grateful for the strong women that I have been blessed with in my life and for those women I have not met but who have inspired me. I know this is early for Mother's Day but I needed to post it now! I couldn't get the link thing to work but I put the web addresses if you wanted to check them out.

I know I am a slacker!!

I know I am bad I have not been blogging lately. Things just get away from me and I pretty much concentrate on school when not dealing with my kids or other people's kids. I just finished two classes this week and start two new ones tomorrow and they are for nine weeks then I will graduate with my associates degree. I get a week break and then I move on to get my Bachelor's degree. I am proud of myself for making it this far and for doing so well. I have been also applying for different scholarships to help pay for my schooling so lets hope I at least get one!!
I will be busy the next few months with the school carnival coming up at the end of the month that I always put on with two other moms this will be our fourth year of doing it and the kids love it. Then it will be football registration in May and I am now our areas registration person so that will keep me busy too. I can't believe the kids have only 11 weeks until school is out! This year has flown by! Now if the weather would just stay like it was today that would be AWESOME!!! Well I promise that I will try to do better about blogging on here even if I think that I don't really have anything to blog about I will think of something! LOL

Over the months!

So I know I am a little behind on posting! I have been really busy with the kids sports and my classes right now have been harder due to the fact that I have had algebra for the last 9 weeks and just started my next nine weeks in the second part of the algebra. Math has always been a challenge for me so it takes me a long time for me to get my homework done each week. I am on the computer at least 4 hours a day doing my algebra homework it becomes very frustrating and overwhelming for me so I don't have a lot of time for much else. The kids finished with sports for a few months so we get a break from that! Cooper did great in his first year of football and he can't wait for it to start again. He watches football on TV with his dad all the time and I have found him upstairs watching it by himself he loves FOOTBALL!!! Hunter had a great year. This was his fourth year and he has improved each year it is so fun to watch him play! I am completely a football mom!! Hunter played at Autzen Stadium again and his team won which was awesome because they had several injuries on their team towards the end. Savannah played soccer and volleyball which she is good at too she gets in there and that is great! I wish there was a more advanced place for her to play that is close so that she could learn more. Thanksgiving we went up to Grants Pass where Rob's mom lives and we had Thanksgiving dinner at his Uncle's in Medford. It was nice to see them all and we enjoyed our time there. I was supper excited to have a new niece make her appearance on my birthday!! It will be awesome to share a birthday with Lydia each year because she is extremely special to our family! While in Medford I had Rob's Aunt take family pictures because we have not had any done in awhile I think Sierra was a baby last time. So here are some pictures from over the last couple months!!

My Project!!

So for awhile now I have been wanting to refinish our kitchen table and chairs! It needed it badly since this table and chairs are the ones Mom and Dad gave us and it was the same table and chairs we had growing up it has been well used! I live the table it is big enough for us but needed some freshen up. So I decided to start it today. So I am not all the way finished but wanted to share my pictures. I still need to do the chairs and figure out how to repair so of the chairs that have broken rails. I love how the table turned out and I am in love with it now!! Now the chairs as you can see I wanted to see what it would look like with black legs but I am gonna stick with white. I am not done so when it is complete I will post the finished pictures. But I am liking how it is looking.

Emerald Game

So I purchased a package for tickets to the Em's which is the baseball team here in Eugene. So Rob and the three oldest went to the game with him. The package was for four tickets on Groupon I love this new site I have gotten so pretty good deals from it! And they got to take a picture with the mascot and got to watch batting practice before the game. They were all pretty excited and had a lot fun! The kids also had cupcakes at the game and that is why their mouths are blue.
